Citadel Park

Like Central Park in New York, Citadel Park (Parc de la Ciutadella) is an iconic floral center piece in the middle of the busy Barcelona metropolis.

Despite being dominated by screaming kids and hormone-raging couples, the park is a great way to spend the day. Start the explorations by walking to the extravagant, meticulously carved Cascada fountain (Font de la cascada).

Then take a wander through the Barcelona zoo, located in the park which is the home to different breeds of monkeys, crocodiles, snakes, Komodo dragons, and many more.

Mercat de la Boqueria

Long before shoppers cared about organic produce or fresh soy milk, Mercat de la Boqueria was standing proud in Barcelona.

The market dates back to the 13^th century, when traders parked themselves outside one of the city’s gates. Today it’s still a vibrant and bustling scene that’s certainly worth a visit with plenty of great food on offer.

To stick with the international theme, we stepped into Bobby Gin to quench our thirst for a good ol' G&T. This quaint little bar is a great chill-out place to hit before the club.

Football Club Barcelona

Whether you’re a soccer fanatic or not, watch a game or take a tour to pay respects to the cultural shrine that is Football Club (FC) Barcelona.

It’s no wonder this team gets so much attention. Last Year Forbes named it the fifth wealthiest club in the world. Early this year, Barcelona forward Lionel Messi won World Player of the Year for the third time in a row.
