栃木県で見つかったこの派手で巨大なクモのように、不気味でカラフルな昆虫が江戸東京博物館に大集結。The summer season with its reckless humidity is beginning to consume Tokyo already, and with it comes some not-so-little invaders to the home -- bugs.
Of course, every good chemist sells various quirky insect killing products in Japan, the most ruthless of which are the canned fumigators (but get out of the house while they smoke the critters out).
Should you actually WANT to see some of the biggest nasties, The Edo-Tokyo Museum is exhibiting Big Bugs from June 22 through September 5. Billed as a chance to learn about bugs from the past 400 million years, their environments and cultures, you'll no doubt have new respect for next huge gokiburi (cockroach) that scampers over your tatami.
