If you've ever wondered what it's like to live life like a member of the international elite, we have a secret for you. Tokyo's International House of Japan -- a traditional member's-only social center for the city's global upper crust -- has a room for you. If you either are a member or know a member, you can actually shack up at the IHJ, a place otherwise known for its teahouse overlooking the manicured Japanese gardens, and library housing almost 25,000 English titles.
With its East Hall remodeled in 2005, the IHJ has modern, clean lines and seems blend geographically with the historical Japanese garden that all of the rooms face.
Tempted? Then go butter up your socially lofty friends, or get a membership for yourself if you want to rub elbows with the who's-who or relax like a queen.
