Granbell Hotel
The minimalist-yet-well-equipped executive suite at Granbell Hotel Shibuya poses the question to the bigger hotel chains: why exactly am I paying for more frills?

Running somewhere in-between what you would expect from a boutique hotel -- in style -- and from budget accommodation -- in price -- lies the Granbell Hotel.

Single rooms start at ¥13,000, while thankfully dispensing with the drabness central to the business hotels that otherwise overwhelm our great city.

Following a first location in Shibuya, the "chain" now includes an Akasaka branch as well (3-10-9 Akasaka, Minato-ku, tel. +81 (0) 3 5575 7130), providing the same comfort and price point.

Rooms include rates at the Granbell Hotel for daytime use as well, making this a possible love hotel for couples (with good taste).

They accept:
American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Cash
