Conrad Tokyo: Metro-design right into the metro

Conrad Tokyo is a bit hard to find in the skyscraper maze of Shiodome, but once located, the hotel does not disappoint.

The rooms are masculine and woody. And more strikingly, the hotel nests feature those love 'em or hate 'em glass walls that let you watch the world go by from the comfort of your tub. To Conrad's credit, however, it's nearly impossible to hate the unobstructed views of Tokyo Bay and the royal park Hamarikyu, that is available to soakers.

The lobby bar is also a slick operation, delivering a selection of fashionable cocktails and the usual standards in smart fashion. On-site dining options at Conrad Tokyo include China Blue -- a mod and healthy take on Chinese cuisine.
