ANA InterContinental Tokyo
Skyscrapers in the Akasaka business district are visible from the window of ANA InterContinental.

The ANA InterContinental’s extravagant-yet-dated exterior may conjure memories of Japan’s flamboyant Bubble Era, but the recent multi-million dollar interior renovation has made the hotel an ideal stay for the business traveller.

The 35th floor club lounge is efficiently zoned into work, rest and play areas, and the adjacent meeting rooms are packed with the latest gadgets.

Views of the glittering cityscape and potential glimpses of the notoriously-shy Mt Fuji are a draw, in addition to its easy access to Akasaka’s business district. Also helpful is ANA InterContinental Tokyo’s well-designed shower facility targeting those on the red-eye.

a relatively new steakhouse, aptly names The Steakhouse. Good Aussie beef for reasonable prices. A little sterile in decor but service is pretty good and the steaks are good value. I also recommend the onion gratin soup there.<BR>
