The staff at indie record store Warszawa are the kind of folks who live the music they love -- sans the stereotypical record clerk snobbery depicted in films like "High Fidelity." A score of different genres are represented in this third-floor retail space, from electronic to neo-psychedelic to dubstep. Musicians from all over the world are lined up on the shelves and sometimes even perform live at the store.
Warszawa is obviously an expert's paradise, but also great for newbies trying to keep up with the latest and greatest. The CD racks contain some of the best experimental hip-hop today, alongside epic droning noise and minimal Nordic skweee.
In the last year, Warszawa has added a pleasant café space, with tables at the window overlooking the streets of Shibuya. Now you don't have to just stand around loitering to hear the managers' favorite new tracks.
