Q-pot. sweetens up docomo's handset lineup

Tadaaki Wakamatsu's Q-pot. is probably the most interesting Japanese accessories brand of the moment. Earrings, necklaces and bracelets are made to look like cakes, cookies, cheese and chocolate (and other things not starting with the letter "c").

The entire Omotesando Q-pot. store is a trip into CandyLand -- with windows that look like bars of chocolate, a fried-egg table and a giant biscotti rolling around for good measure.

Cell phone behemoth docomo could have found no better partner than Q-pot. for making a whimsical mobile handset. The docomo STYLE series SH-０４B × Q-pot. comes in two colors -- a "melty bitter" in Dark Chocolate and a "melty strawberry" in a pink. They will likely impress your friends more than an iPhone.

Both models hit stores in early December, selling for ¥13,000 and include a matching strap. Dieters should probably stay away: Staring at that melty chocolate all day will lead you straight to the nearest convenience store for a bar of Morinaga.
