Le Rouge Dior
These mannequins, featuring Christian Dior's haute couture work from years past, should help inspire your own choices for the photo shoot.

Looking for a perk-up during these grey, wintry days? Sashay down to Omotesando before Christmas and let the Le Dior Rouge team turn you into one of the fabulous mannequins (that’s "model" in fashion speak) of Monsieur Christian Dior.

The Dior boutique's third floor has been transformed into a makeshift photo studio, where anyone can get their make-up done professionally, choose some accessories from the display and have their photo taken on a set replete with fauna and chaise.

Dior is in the midst of a "rouge" campaign, with the entire Omotesando building glowing a brilliant red at night. So there's no excuse to miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to don some Dior and pose like a pro.

The whole process takes about 45 minutes, and the next day the photo arrives at your home. And the best part: It's free.

Before getting dolled up, head upstairs to see the exhibition of 12 haute couture pieces in red and black, many of them dating back to the 1950s and created at the hand of Mr. Dior himself.

Le Rouge Dior at Christian Dior Omotesando boutique: Jingumae 5-9-11, Shibuya-ku, tel. 03 5464 6260, Dec 4-26, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (as well as Dec. 24), 11am-7:30pm, no appointment necessary
