Gummix: Edible gummy insects
Pour the goop in and out comes something that will impress your friends and scare your little sister.
A new kit from MegaHouse called Gummix lets children -- and the young at heart -- create edible gummy insects. Finally all the kids who grew up on Mushi King can go beyond fighting with beetles and eat them -- in effigy.
To make a gummy insect, you just mix some of your favorite juice in a beaker with gelatin, pour the magical goo into the mold of your choice and then chill in the fridge. After the mold sets, the candy bugs can be eaten, or placed under your sister's pillow.
Gummix goes on sale February 20 at the price of ¥3,675. Additional molds, such as frogs and pill bugs, will also be available.
