Tokyo Printing Museum: Get your print on

If you've ever pondered how the elaborate, richly-colored traditional Japanese artwork was -- and still is -- produced, take a gander at Tokyo's Printing Museum located in Toppan Printing's headquarters in Edogawabashi, Tokyo. Dedicated to the art of Japanese printing, the museum walks you through a collection of materials using hands-on explanations that trace the history of printing in Japan through five major eras. If you want to get your hands dirty -- literally -- and witness the museum's home-run highlight, you can attend traditional letterpress printing workshops led by master craftspeople.
