Keisei Skyliner to become Narita Sky Access

The poor man's luxury ride to Narita Airport from Tokyo is changing its name to make things more obvious
Narita Sky AccessThe red and blue stripes give the Keisei Skyliner a universal kind of aesthetic appeal -- like the Gundam RX-78. The new Narita Sky Access train looks more like a Decepticon.

Blog Shibuya246 reports that train operator Keisei will be changing the name of its Narita-bound Skyliner train to "Narita Sky Access." Keisei hopes that this new name will make the train's purpose more obvious to all those confused consumers who thought Skyliner "headed towards the sky" instead of the airport.

The Narita-bound line, however, is not just getting a new name. There will be a new faster, sleeker train that will usher passengers from Nippori to Narita in just 36 minutes. If the price stays at ¥1,920 from Tokyo, this will be very competitive with the more expensive JR Narita Express.

July 2010 is the planned start date for the new Keisei Narita Sky Access line. Now they will just need to invent a teleport machine to make the Nippori transfer point remotely convenient.
