Can you imagine the hours of research it took to crowdsource all these images from high school yearbooks across Japan? Who cares -- it was worth it.

Japanese blog Alfalfa Mosaic has posted a giant composite picture of Japanese female celebrities' old yearbook photos. From Haruka Ayase to Kumi Koda to Yui Aragaki, everyone who is everyone is represented in this single image.

Many of the talent, like Nozomi Sasaki and Chinatsu Wakatsuki, are almost unrecognizable without their signature chapatsu light brown hair. The normally blond and curly Tsubasa Masuwaka looks almost naked in her old straight chestnut hairdo.

We can also use these photos as a way to give serious props to those celebrities who appear to have not indulged in cosmetic surgery. Mao Asada, Masami Nagasawa, and Rosa Kato now look exactly like older versions of their schoolgirl selves. Others do not. Yuko Ogura, I am looking in your general direction.

This composite image may be a violation of the stars' privacy, but whoever compiled it was at least considerate enough to blank out the name of stars who keep their true identity private. That being said, they forgot to blank out Saeko's semi-secret last name Dokyu (道休), which will probably start more editing wars on Wikipedia Japan.

Ultimately, this collection of old school photos should be highly inspirational to young women. With just a little help from hair and makeup, you too can go from an average looking high-schooler to the center of the entertainment world.
