Men's fashion faux-pas: Beware the backpack?

Business Media Makoto polls women on men's worst accessory habits, and the backpack takes the dreaded #1 spot
fashion faux-pasThe irony is, each of these "wrong" outfit accessories looks painful in isolation, but when brought all together on one person, the effect is highly fashionable.

Pity the Japanese male. The entire media world seems to be constantly polling women on men's most egregious fashion faux-pas and behavioral deficiencies.

This time, Business Media Makoto asked professional female advisers in the "konkatsu" marriage hunt industry about which wardrobe accessories they considered to be most "NG" -- "no good."

Number one -- at 20% -- was the backpack. There is something a bit juvenile about using a "rucksack" as an adult. Yet we are surprised to see that it beat out world's greatest fashion no-no: the fanny pack.

Other things men should look out for: dirty shoes, white socks, gold necklaces and fat mobile phone straps. Don't worry, though. All can be reclaimed after the wedding vows have been exchanged.
