Japan's top 10 'Valentine's men'

Japan's top 10 'Valentine's men'

Japanese women reveal the hunks they most want to give chocolates to this Valentine's Day
masaharu fukuyamaIf only they could ... Masaharu Fukuyama would have enough chocolate for a lifetime.

Tradition in Japan has it that Valentine's Day is not quite the romantic day dreamed of in the West, but something of a burden to women who must give giri-choco (obligation chocolates) to all the men in their lives, including work colleagues.

The reward for such efforts? A return on March 14, White Day, when the men reply with (hopefully) even bigger gifts.

But who would the women really like to give their chocolates to? Online marketing group iReport endeavoured to find out.

From a poll of 500 women age 20-30, the top 10 included nine-year-old Seishiro Kato, sports stars Ryo Ishikawa and Ichiro Suzuki. But the list was topped by 42-year-old singer-songwriter Masaharu Fukuyama.

Previously voted to have the "sexiest body," "sexiest voice" and being the "coolest guy" by local magazine CanCam, Fukuyama was forced to share the number one spot this time with actor Osamu Mukai.

Here is the full top ten:
