Crystal Kay guerilla live comes and goes in a flash!
クリスタル・ケイが鍛え上げたボディを披露。Fast-rising and internationally ambitious Japanese-born singer Crystal Kay -- of Korean and African-American parentage -- made an audacious guerilla-style live performance in front of Harajuku's iconic Laforet department store on June 17.
Announced on her Twitter in the wee small hours of the same morning, some 300 fans showed up to see the R&B songstress debut two tracks from her new album Flash, and show off her impressive physique. Used to playing to audiences in their thousands, the stunt attracted quite some attention and she hung around to thrill autograph hunters afterwards too.
Having recorded with legendary producers Jam & Lewis in LA, Crystal Kay, 24, has made no secret of her aims to make it in the United States, and with new album Flash including all-English gospel-tinged track 'Happy' -- a tribute to Michael Jackson -- she's as well-positioned as any Japanese act to crack the international market.
