Tsukiji-fresh suzuki with goat cheese, olive pesto and tomatoes tossed with fennel.
The new Two Rooms in Omotesando is the brainchild of the former chef from the New York Grill and the team from the Grand Hyatt's The Oak Door. The result is the creators' famed raspberry mojitos and grilled Angus beef all under the one roof.
The name is no mere metaphor. Room One is a sleek haven of wood and black leather, with wrap-around views of the Tokyo skyline and an open kitchen.
Room Two is the bar -- home to an eye-popping 1800-bottle wine collection. The outdoor terrace stretches across a mirror-flat pond, where the beautiful people perch on bathtub-sized rattan sofas and sip fresh passionfruit martinis.
The menu’s as chic as the interior and sparkles with vibrant combinations like Sanriku scallops and Hokkaido corn salsa over hummus. More straightforward but equally good are Two Rooms' grilled meats -- Yamayuri pork and Miyagi Wagyu.
