Snack Nation: Kit Kat Cookie Plus

Kit Kat gets bored of changing flavors and adds in cookies. Is this heresy or progress?
Kit Kat cookie plus"8+2" pieces of cookie-coated Kit Kat. Couldn't they just write "10"?

With dozens of seasonal and regional flavors, Kit Kat has become the unrivaled king of Snack Nation. Nestle, however, has perhaps grown bored with just changing the chocolate coating into "corn" or "snow cherry blossom" flavors. They needed "a break" from that strategy.

Thus Kit Kat Cookie Plus was born. The formula adds a layer of crunchy wheat cookie into the normal Kit Kat framework.

The result is good. Very good. The cookie adds a depth of flavor lacking in the usually airy Kit Kat bar.

Yet the question remains: Is this still a Kit Kat? If Kit Kat started adding peanuts, caramel and nougat, at what point does it become a Snickers? Is this cookie exercise too much of a stretch for the brand?

10 Kit Kat Cookie Plus bars later, we don't have the answers to those rhetorical questions yet. We'll just have to keep eating until we arrive at a suitable answer.
