This sounds absurd, but the restaurant Life -- influenced by the Italian slow food movement -- makes only eight pizzas a day. And once they've run out, that's it. Sorry.

Those lucky enough to get their hands on a Life pizza will delight in the handmade dough and gorgonzola-honey topping.

The low lighting and well-worn wooden furniture put customers in the mood to slow down and savor the small-scale food production.

With only eight pies being made a day, make sure to call Life in advance and ask the kitchen to set aside a pizza for you. That would then make seven left for the day...
