Ippo: sake and sushi all in one!
It only takes two. Ippo focuses on what it does best.

Seemingly in the shadows though on a busy side-street of eateries, Ippo's jet black exterior is highlighted by a stark luminous white sign sitting squarely out front. Reading "Fish and Sake", Ippo simply offers exactly what it says on the tin.

With its chic yet shabby wooden exterior and bare interior, Ippo is unassuming and understated, its windowsill to the winding back street of Ebisu aligned with well-used sake bottles. Yet if good sushi and a glass of sake is what you seek, then this little jewel really is right up your alley, and has it's menu in English to boot.

Offering sushi delivered direct from Tokyo's world-famous Tsukiji fish market, Ippo changes it's menu with the seasons, but keeps some of it's own gems as standard, such as raw fish minced with herbs -- known as namero. Complementing it's specialities on the food menu are more than fifty sake offerings, again changing with the season. Sticking to what it does best, Ippo selects a range of sake from the big name brands through to much smaller producers, so you can enjoy a different combination every visit. If ever a sushi restaurant was designed to endear those more attuned to regularly rolling up at a single watering hole, Ippo is it.
