Enjoy your own musical showers while you chomp via iPods and iPhones

Cheesy pop tunes not your bag while munching your whopper? Now Burger King, opening only its 32nd outlet in Japan, offers an alternative in its Roppongi store, located in the Rapiros building -- your own musical shower.

According to Walker Plus, it's all part of the chains attempts to begin a 'relaxing concept', and fits in with the decision earlier this year to sell Four Roses American Whisky to those over 20, after 5 p.m.

The musical shower allows customers to plug in their own ipod or iphone, take a seat in one the store's surprisingly cosy armchairs and let the tunes rain down from an umbrella-shaped device. As their largest store, with 200 seats, the seating is spacious enough that it is claimed even rock music will not disturb customers on the next table, along as the sound is directed down. But with only two devices in the store at present, you might have to queue to get your preferred seat.
