If you like the challenge of finding bars more than actually drinking there, Chano-ma may be best place yet. The cafe is concealed in an obscure location in the somewhat generic Nakameguro building, perfect for maintaining its mysterious allure.
The best part? The entire right side of the long and narrow cafe has an elevated white mattress platform for you to lounge as you tip back cocktails and gaze out the monster windows.
Although the food is so-so, and the drink prices are high, the Chano-ma experience is all about ambiance: cool neighborhood, cool crowd, cool ambiance.
