The Chanel logo elevator buttons are hard to ignore as you ride up to Beige Tokyo. But with Chanel and Alain Ducasse as the forces behind the restaurant, the total brand immersion throughout the Beige experience should come as no surprise.
The atmosphere errs on the side of refined stiffness. Everything is saved, however, by the impeccable attention to detail, highly sophisticated contemporary French cuisine, table art and objets d’art that broadcast the elegance of French culture.
There's no need to even take the branding too seriously. At the end of the meal waiters will bring chocolates in the shape of Chanel buttons. But for those worrying about brand overdose, remember: Beige means not seeing things in black and white!
