Descending the stairs of the grimy headbanger's bar Rock Bar Mother, is like entering the nether regions of Hades. Mother embodies the term "heavy" -- a metal/punk bar where the volume is always on 20 (on a scale of 10).
You literally will not be able to speak to nor hear any companions or fellow drinkers. It has bilingual staff, but note that they have to scream at you at the top of their lungs in one of two unintelligible languages should you attempt to do more than just point at the English/Japanese menus. The music menu is fraught with grindcore, black metal, thrash, and hardcore.
Rock Bar Mother has a drinks menu that boasts stiff drinks, draft beer and attitude aplenty.
