Drink driver: Kamen Rider, meet Kamen Cider
Unfortunately for cash-strapped super fans, there are a whopping nine total Kamen Cider cans.
Blog Halcyon Realms points us to a new series of "Kamen Cider" cans from beverage maker DyDo based on the legendary tokusatsu kids show "Kamen Rider" (Masked Rider). There are nine cans in total, each based on the costume of a character from the show.
You may think DyDo came up with the idea for the cans from the cider/rider pun, but this is not the drink maker's first kids show collaboration. Last year, DyDo released "Ultra Cider" based on the "Ultraman" TV series. And just so the forces of evil aren't left out, there is now also a series based on the monstrous villains from "Ultraman."
For the soda itself, expect the usual sweet cider flavor familiar to Mitsuya Cider or Ramune drinkers. If a classic TV show had a soft drink flavor, it would clearly be Japanese cider. Not that a collector would dare drink the beverage inside the cans.
Visit DyDo's special Kamen Cider site for an interactive exploration of the can design and the TV show characters.
