I am not sure which best proves BYG's antiquity -- the Bob Dylan poster or the graffiti on the walls.

When the brains behind BYG set up shop, Creedence Clearwater Revival were singing about a "Bad Moon Rising" and Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" was the biggest hit of the year. The year 1969 may be a long while back, but this bar probably hasn't changed all that much in the intervening 40 years. Not seen much new paint, either.

Sure, it's dark and smoky, graffiti is etched into the tables, and the wood-paneled walls should be preserved as some manner of Important Cultural Asset, but these guys know music. The DJ is always running out of room for vinyl and CDs in his booth by the front door. Try to stump him on an obscure track, and he might just have it.

BYG also has live music, so check the schedule.
