Tokyo's Bar Rage serves wild cocktail concoctions. Tucked in the heart of Ginza, this sultry hoity-toity waterhole gets serious points for its creative libation sensations that include everything from sprigs of thyme to floating grilled tomatoes. Cumquats replace olives in martinis. Maple syrup, not salt, coats the rim of the glass.
Sure, Bar Rage offers the usual ho-hum gin and vodka cocktails found in every bar in the Northern Hemisphere, but they also offer creations like deep green tea from Kyoto combined with maple syrup, lemon and vodka, or a martini made from European pear juice, grapefruit, vodka, all topped with a sage leaf.
