The Sebel Surry Hills

Once upon a time a person said "Sebel Sydney" and another person thought rock ‘n’ roll. The legendary Sebel in Elizabeth Bay was the place where every after party turned into an after after party.

These days the name Sebel is associated with a more sedate style of stay. The old hotel was turned into apartments and life moved on. 

But this latter day Sydney incarnation of Sebel is nonetheless well located in terms of action.

Situated on Albion Street, this Sydney boutique Hotel is right in the thick of Surry Hills action, though in a relatively quiet little bubble.

It’s bright, modern, a little bit edgy, but very family, budget and relaxation-friendly.

Suites are a cut above with Molton Brown toiletries, custom-made furniture, and soft, fluffy beds. Studio suites have a double lounge that converts into a sofa bed, ideal for that road trip with a few mates.

There’s a 20-meter pool, a bar, restaurant and 24-hour reception.

It may no longer be rock ‘n’ roll, but there’s a lot to like.
