Since opening in 2009, the GoodGod Small Club has been on a wild ride that includes an unexpected closure, a triumphant re-opening and some of the best gigs and club nights the city has seen.
Housed in a former taverna in the tiny LIverpool Street Spanish quarter, the GoodGod Small Club is a cross between Ibiza before the ravers and Hawaii Five O. There are grotto booths, palm furnishings, white stucco walls and out-there murals. And then there's the lighting.
Catch live bands here on Saturday nights. Local success stories the Midnight Juggernauts, Cut Copy, Canyons and Tame Impala all throw monthly parties. On the other nights, the DJs in the danceteria play anything from garage rock and rap to tropical house.
Things get especially fun when you're sharing one of GoodGod's famous punch jugs with a good friend.
