Naumi Hotel: New luxe

When you check in, a Naumi aide (think caretaker/concierge/butler) is assigned to you. It's not a open invitation to go nuts, but they'd be happy to make your day. What's really cool is that you can check in wherever you want -- in the room, lobby or bar -- your call.

The decor is all new-age luxury, with designer furniture, Kiehl's toiletries and large, airy rooms and suites that are laid out like serviced apartments. Our absolute favorite is the rooftop infinity pool -- settle into one of the cocoon couches there and let the waters work their magic. For the ladies, there's a floor just for you, privacy and comfort assured.

So it's not as fancy as some snooty 5-star business sleeper, but when you've got Nespresso machines at your call and a uber-cool lounge that doubles as the reception area, you might not feel like leaving.
