Despite its location in Chinatown, Hotel 1929 stands out as a boutique hotel with a strong designer influence.
Traditional taste gets thrown out the window at Singapore's Hotel 1929, a super mod blend of retro modern interiors and whimsical exterior architecture near Chinatown's MRT.
Designers got their hands dirty in the hotel's 32 contemporary rooms, especially in the two designer suites -- light-filled rooms with outdoor baths in the tropical roof garden. Can you say, "sign me up!"?
If you're more concerned with what's on your dinner plate than the color of your bathroom tiles, you're in luck: Hotel 1929's Ember is has an Asian fusion restaurant that will make you salivate. That, or head out to the happening nightlife along Club Street where you can duck into any number of quaint Chinese-food eateries.
