The ultimate New Year hotel experience for 2010

We want to be in Capella when 2010 comes knockin'. Why? Because it's been a tough year and the brochure for the three-day ‘Capella Under the Stars’ new year experience looks like it could make anyone forget that 2009 every happened.

Here's the drill for those with cash to burn.

Day One

Check in December 31 into an ultra-luxe suites. Toss back a welcome champagne, relax till the dinner bell rings for a five-course Mediterranean gourmet meal, premium champagne and full open bar at the Knolls poolside restaurant.

Capella's pool area will be turned into a floating platform where Karina Serbina, soprano from the Bolshoi Theater, takes the stage. French DJ duo Brahms & Co, famous for their work with fashion houses such as Dior and Gucci, follows with an original mix of jazz, grooves, Latin, lounge, electro and funk. Snacks will be served till 2am.

Day Two

Stagger out of bed and partake of the January 1 Recovery Brunch at The Knolls. Or just have an in-room breakfast if you can't crawl off the mattress. Chill all day.

An evening fashion extravaganza comes with a four-course dinner. Lithuanian fashion and theater costume designer Josef Statkus, who counts Naomi Watts, Kyra Sedgewick and Princess Mary of Denmark among his clients, will showcase his chic collection, with shoes from Manolo Blahnik. Bob’s Bar serves up after dinner mojitos and specially imported Tsarskaya Vodka.

Day Three

Enjoy the hotel's amenities and views over the South China Sea, then head to the Grill & Chill barbecue lunch at The Knolls.
