Don't lose those tickets -- Tom Jones will return to the stage on April 1

After walking off the stage two songs into his concert because he was feeling ill, Sir Jones is coming back April 1 for the fans

A week after stopping his last gig two songs in because he "was feeling unwell," Sir Tom Jones is heading back to the stage on April 1. The 69-year-old Welshman is obviously recovering well enough to resume his performance, as a bout with acute laryngitis (as his publicist claimed) is no laughing matter.

According to The Straits Times, Jones sang two songs in Resorts World Sentosa's (RWS) Compass Ballroom before announcing that he could not continue performing. His voiced had cracked on the last few notes of the second song, "Give A Little Love." "I have a problem," he said and cleared his throat. "Honestly, I don't think I can carry on. I hope we can do this again soon."

The audience thought it was a stunt or joke, singing "Why, why, why" to his hit Delilah song, but realization hit when the lights came on and the organisers announced that the concert had been postponed. And now the date of his return has been set for April 1.

So if you're a disappointed Tom Jones fan, don't throw those ticket stubs away -- they must be produced for entry to the rescheduled event. But if you're going to give it a miss, a full refund including the S$3 Sistic booking fee will also be available.
