Singapore adventures for under S$100
Recession or not, we still need to let our hair down occasionally. And for many of us letting our hair down means opting for some hair-raising adventures. Luckily there are some great thrills to be had in Singapore that won't break the bank.
Go-karting: It's fast, it's furious and it's a whole lot of fun. Go-karting: Burn some rubber

Whether your inspiration is Lewis Hamilton or Super Mario, your speed demon dreams can finally be realized at Kart World. Catering to both casual and serious racer, Kart World sells the karts themselves and provides maintenance services at their nifty garage as well.
A 10 minute ride around the course will cost you S$28 although there are varying prices for corporate plans and for those who own their own go-kart.

Water Zorbing: Has it's ups and downs.Zorbing: Living in your own bubble

Ever wondered why hamsters have so much fun running around in their wheels and bubble cages? Now you can find out by going Zorbing. It may sound like something from Star Trek but the experience is much more primitive. Zorbing puts you in a giant plastic ball and you simply roll around a big field. Skim along the waters or roll down a slope, just don’t get carried away and run into a ditch.
ZOVB Singapore charges adults S$50 for two roll downs and S$18 for an additional half an hour.

Paintball wars: A colorful day out.Paintball: No pain no gain

There's no better way to get the boss back for making you work that Saturday than by shooting them. With paintballs, we mean. Best for corporate outings, paintball guns use air pressure to expel small pellets of paint at high speed. Bring some durable or expendable clothing as the shooting usually gets messy. Getting hit by a pellet can be quite painful but you’ll never feel more alive -- dodging bullets like Neo and taking out your enemies with a well placed shot to the chest. And remember, on the battlefield, there are no friends.
S$40 would buy you 250 pellets for a 120 minute session at Crossfire Paintball.

Ice climbling: One of our top 'picks.'Rock-climbing: Mission Possible

Tom Cruise is known for climbing many things, the sky, sofas and of course the rock wall in “Mission Impossible 2”. Unlike Cruise, you don’t have to risk life and limb at SAFRA Yishun Country Club when you climb various rock walls. With 1,000 square meters of climbing and bouldering surface, the diverse range of walls include ice-climbing with a pick, the first artificial ice-climbing wall in South East Asia and a crack climbing wall to simulate real natural rocks.
If you do get bored, or exhausted, then SAFRA Yishun also provides a parachute jump simulation standing at 21 metres high where you can free fall while taking in the view of Yishun Park.
