It's all stares and gasps as golfing superstar Michelle Wie of USA arrived at Changi Airport in the early hours of Monday morning from Thailand, where she finished joint-22nd in the Honda PTT LPGA Thailand tournament, reports the Straits Times.

The Hawaiian-born golfer and leggy beauty, well known as one of the glamor girls of golf, is in town to play at the US$1.3 million (S$1.72m) HSBC Women’s Champions tournament, held from February 25 to 28. She's part of a stellar line-up of players, including Suzann Pettersen (Norway), Anna Nordqvist (Sweden), Cristie Kerr (USA), Tseng Ya-ni (Taiwan), Ai Miyazato (Japan) and Angela Stanford (USA). 23 year-old Paula "the Pink Panther" Creamer had to withdraw due to injury.

A total of 63 players will tee off for four days of stroke play at the Tanah Merah Country Club. Along with the two sponsor's invitations, the field will be completed by Singaporean amateur Joey Poh, who won the two-day local qualifying event last month.
