Queen of the green Michelle Wie and her head-turning apparel
All red and asuspicious, Michelle Wie hits her tee-shot on the seventh hole during the final round of the HSBC Women's Champions.
Never mind that she "failed to mount a decisive charge for the title on her debut," according to my paper, or that many felt that she "still needs plenty more polish to her game before she could even talk about dominating the scene" -- the worlds number nine female golfer had all eyes on her as she walked the greens of the Tanah Merah Garden Course.
It wasn't her best game to date, with some well-made birdies rubbing up against poor bogeys, but 20-year old Wie was sporting enough to admit she had a good time and put her Nike-sponsored attire to good use in the tropical heatwave. "I don't think I've sweated so much in my entire life. It's hot out there. But it was a really well-run event, a first-class event. It's been fun. I've never been to Singapore before, but definitely it's been a really fun trip," said Wie.
