FightG offers a variety of courses, including Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Caporeira and the F.E.A.R. fighting system for self-defense.
Call it self-defense, or a way to cash in on your long-time fascination with Karate Kid's roundhouse kick -- wax on, wax off -- but FightG is your power-tap for learning Muay Thai, kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts. Situated on a rooftop with killer views of Hong Lim Park, each session is 90 minutes of non-stop round-housing and boxing fun.
As a beginner, the first session focuses on basic strength and conditioning exercises (push-up and squats), and fight techniques, then the instructors step up the intensity a notch for intermediates. Either level, you'll inch home bushed and sore, but fret not, Daneilson, even the Karate Kid had to get his butt kicked before he took his opponent down in the end with the "Crane." Yeah, you know the one.
Word from the wise: The shower has an impressively long queue, so bring a wipey if you're in a rush. Or stay a while and pump some iron in the gym area if you’re not too hammered after your session.
