Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, Peruvian President Alan Garcia and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev share a light moment during a group photo at The Esplanade.

Singapore practically came to a standstill for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, with the who's who of political leaders descending on our little island. Despite traffic freezes, air-tight security and an army of spit-shiny BMWs dashing from point to point with their siren-wailing police escorts, the high-level meetings went ahead smoothly.

In rock-star style, U.S. President Barack Obama made a surprise early appearance, in spite of delays in his schedule. Despite fears that he wouldn't make it, Obama was on time for the traditional national-dress photo session.

Herewith, some of the lighter moments from the APEC Summit -- from the ministers' spouses touring Singapore to the big dinner event. Click the gallery link above, then sit back and smile with your world leaders.
