Chef Daniel Boulud dumps Wynn/Vegas for Singapore
Having conquered New York City, Las Vegas, Palm Beach, Miami, Vancouver and Beijing with his namesake restaurants, Daniel Boulud is ready shake up the Singapore eating scene.Chef Daniel Boulud, known for his eponymous restaurant Daniel in New York City, will be opening a restaurant in Singapore.

The announcement comes on the heels of news that after a five-year relationship, Boulud will no longer run the French brasserie in the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas.
"Does Singapore need me? Do I need Singapore? I don’t know," Boulud said, adding that he wanted to be part of "one of the most spectacular properties in the world."
The Singapore DB restaurant will resemble Manhattan's DB Bistro Moderne, which offers a more causal experience than the Michelin three-star Daniel restaurant in New York. Boulud also plans to offer more Asian dishes here, while maintaining the American bistro theme.
"If I find a wonderful Asian chef who wants to express himself in his own cuisine and I like it, then maybe it would offer more Asian food," Boulud said.
According to Chubby Hubby, headhunters from the Dinex Group, which owns and manages Daniel Boulud’s restaurants, are making an Asian tour to look for great culinary talent, including chefs, sous chefs, pastry chefs, sommeliers and managers.
