The Butter Factory
The Butter Factory hopes to keep the dancefloor free from crime.
Must know: Popular nightclub, The Butter Factory, has launched the Safe Clubbing campaign to educate clubbers of the various dangers they face on a night out and also as a deterrent towards potential offenders. Crimes such as theft, rioting and drug abuse are some of the things that Butter Factory are hoping to quash in the local clubbing scene.

Must see: The Singapore Science Centre has opened The Sound Exhibition, a S$1.3 million permanent exhibition which will showcase things like Dancing Sand among its 34 exhibits. The display will emit varying sound waves which will result in the sand forming shapes such as stars and other patterns. The Sound Exhibition aims to show the science behind sound with its effects and uses.

Must go: Singaporeans just cannot get enough of their tech conventions as the Computer, Communications & Consumer Electronics (C3) fair welcomes visitors over the weekend at the Suntec Convention Centre. Loaded with all manner of gadgetry and gizmos, last minute Christmas shoppers with a keen eye on cameras, laptops and MP3s might want to drop by this mega convention from Dec 18-20. Admission is free.

Must go: The Dawson estate build-to-order Housing Board flats in Queenstown are selling like hot cakes. The studio, four- and five-room apartments at SkyTerrace and SkyVille have been oversubscribed, pulling in over 2,000 applicants so far. Despite the higher price due to its prime location, the apartments are well furnished with timber flooring in the bedrooms.
