Ten years ago, Bavaria descended on Singapore with the Paulaner Bräuhaus -- the city's first German microbrewery -- and has somehow survived as the only one in the city to date.
Tucked away in a corner of Millenia Walk, the restaurant is spread across three floors -- with a Maibaum (Maypole), a 16th century Bavarian architectural feature in the middle -- and serves up authentic Bavarian meats like pork knuckle and sausage. Whatever you order, its best washed down with one of their freshly-brewed beers like the Munich Lager, Munich Dark, or a seasonal variety like Oktoberfest.
On the rare occasion that you'd be hungover from their heavy German brews -- eh hem -- they also have a Sunday Brunch buffet to die for including starter apps, German specialties, live meat-carving stations and copious desserts. You'll pay $33 which includes free refills on soda, or $43 with free refills on Paulaner Bräuhaus' beer (hair of the dog).
Prost!
