Anytime you have a Singapore National Barista Champion like John Ting working at a coffee hangout like Oriole Café and Bar, it's probably a good idea to go slug back a cup of his joe -- it might be your best-ever java experiences.
Serving affordable bistro fare all under $15, their classic comfort food includes dishes like beer-battered Fish & Chips, Chicken Tikka, Greek salad or a range of gourmet sandwiches. The set lunches on weekdays, priced at $16 and up, include a soup or salad, and a fixed main course, pasta or sandwich. Pay an extra $3 to add a dessert.
Need more than just a java fix? Oriole Café and Bar has an impressive bar menu of yummy cocktails like the Espresso martini, Kaffir lime mojito, frozen strawberry pepper margarita and passionfruit caipirinha. Happy hour is from 5-8pm, Sunday-Thursday.
