Super seven look forward to starting work at Marina Bay Sands
Seven of the best: Top chefs at Marina Bay Sands. The seven world-class chefs that you can find at Marina Bay Sands are sharpening their knives and dusting down their aprons in preparation for their big openings. We've been left salivating for a while. We first announced the arrival of six of these foodie megastars in Singapore in December. Then in May we heard our home-grown Justin Quek was joining the party. That makes seven of the world's best cooks all working under the same roof. If that doesn't draw you in, nothing will.
As well as Quek, the formidable standing chefs include a cosmopolitan mix of cuisines: French standard bearers Daniel Boulud and Guy Savoy, Spain’s Santi Santamaria, Australia-based Tetsuya Wakuda, Mario Batali who made his name in the United States and Wolfgang Puck, who also found fame in the United States.
According to Thomas Arasi, Marina Bay Sands’ CEO and president, though the chefs are “all culinary stars in their own right” together they will make a dream team which will “raise the bar for Singapore as a must-visit dining destination.”
See below a brief description of each chef's restaurant. Santi and Guy Savoy are open for business now, the others will be opening in the coming weeks.
