You and your fancy-food fascination with Italy need to get your hungry self to Garibaldi -- Singapore's Italian eating mecca that boasts some of the more generous portions around.
You don't have to shovel Garibaldi's dishes down just because they're serving Italian delectables such as Tortelli Granchio E Gamberi (homemade crab meat tortelli with prawns, zucchini and saffron sauce), or the creamy and delicious Risotto Al 4 Formaggi E Asparagi (risotto with US asparagus and four cheese fondue). Why not? Because there is of course second course like the Ossobuco "Garibaldi" (braised veal cheek with bone marrow and saffron risotto) and the local favorite, the Vitello Milanese (pounded and breaded veal chop “Orecchia d’ Elefante” with rucola and tomatoes) that will snatch your hunger faster than you can say, "I love truffle oil."
Word of warning though, you really need to make a reservation online or over the phone -- you're not the only one who's hungry for Garibaldi.
