Get your hands and elbows dirty at Basilico's Italian cooking classes.
What can S$110 buy you these days?
At Basilico, it buys you an incredibly value-packed two-hour hands-on Italian cooking class (minimum six people) closely supervised by Basilico’s Italian chefs: Angelo Ciccone and Marco Violano.
And, mind you, it’s not just a cooking demonstration by the Italian chefs -- you are expected to roll up your sleeves, slip on the apron, take charge of your knife as well as the stainless steel frying pan and whip up a gourmet three-course meal using generous amounts of gourmet ingredients: black truffles, truffle oil and a vast array of Italian cheeses.
What’s on the menu? Basilico’s culinary class offers a discovery of the cuisine of a different Italian region each month but the restaurant is flexible to accommodate specific requests of booking parties with a minimum of two guests.
Here’s a palate teaser for those who are considering signing up for the Piedmont culinary class:
- Taleggio and toma cheese fondue soup with black truffles shavings
- Risotto with raschera cheese crowned with piedmontese veal jus with Alba black truffles
- A 200g slab of Piedmontese beef tenderloin (also called Fassona) with Barolo sauce and robiola cheese
