A friend once joked, the drinks at New Asia Bar are free, but it’s the view you are paying for. It’s not cheap, as it will cost you S$25 to get in (the price includes one drink). A bottled beer sets you back at least $15, and if you want to impress the ladies, a bottle of Moet and Chandon will cost $135.
Situated on the 71st floor of the tallest hotel in Singapore -- the 226 meter Swissotel the Stamford -- you would be literally dancing to new heights amidst the backdrop of the Singapore cityscape. Party goers include young professionals as well as business class tourists, so do dress to impress. Remember, beautiful views tend to attract beautiful people.
Go early and the bar opens up to the top floor helipad, where strong gusts of wind may ruin your 'do, but the 360-degree panoramic view of the bright lights around Singapore make the drinks worth the price (and mussed hair). On clear nights you might even see as far as Indonesia.
New Asia Bar also feature international DJs spinning decks on the last Thursday of the month.
