Muddy Murphy's: Good ole Irish fun

Muddy Murphy's is one of the oldest traditional Irish pubs in Singapore. Muddy’s -- as it’s affectionately known to regulars -- usually draws in a good crowd and it’s fantastic for catching up with friends over a drink or five.

Live bands play over the weekends, when the place gets a lot more lively and becomes a great spot to enjoy some good music and even a little dancing on the makeshift dance floor in front of the stage. Or you can sit by the fireplace, or get a table in the open-air area. The choice is yours.

Muddy’s is also where sports fans should go as it regularly shows live coverage of international sporting events. Go early to catch football (soccer) or rugby games as it does get very crowded.

The pub grub here is a must-try. Signature dishes include battered Fish and Chips and Beef and Guinness® Pie. Among the top Asian choices are the unique Chunky Chili-Crab Dip with potato wedges and the spicy chicken drumlets -- both best washed down with a pint of beer. Sunday lunch is a good time to drop by too. In fact it's always a good time to pop into Muddy's.
