If you spend your days celeb-spotting, or scanning gossip columns and plotting where you can "bump" into Singapore's famed elite, try Bar 84, the posh hangout for the city's most exclusive patrons.
Be warned, its regulars have been trying to keep Bar 84 under wraps since it first opened a few years back, and the bouncers at the door can scare you into thinking you're just not cool enough to be there. But once inside you can enjoy the nightly magic show by owner/bartender, Hashi-san, among the star searching.
Not interested in magic? Cozy up on a sofa or banquette, toss back a few trés-expensive drinks, and who knows, you may just "happen" to rub elbows with the likes of local celebs such as famed Sydney-based chef, Tetsuya Wakuda.
Bar 84 should definitely be in your 'I must-have-a-drink-there' file.
