Eat, Drink & More: Starwood Hotels launches drink-dine info site
Some of Shanghai's top hotels are teaming up to ensure you know exactly where to eat, drink and enjoy yourself in Shanghai
Danieli's Italian Restaurant at the St Regis is more accessible now through Eat, Drink & More, even if it is located on the other side of the river.Shanghai hotels generally aren't top of mind when it comes to dining and drinking. So Starwood Hotels have come up with a solution: create a website that showcases all the eating and drinking options available in the city under their brands (including Le Meridien, Four Point by Sheraton, the Westin, St Regis and more).
Starwood's Eat, Drink & More website offers information on venues and locations of their hotel restaurants and bars, but also lets you reserve tables, spa treatment (some of the city’s best spas are still located in hotels) and more through its simple portal.
Considering just about everyone in this city jet-sets to beach-side locales during Golden Week, the site will come in handy since you can look up information on Starwood hotels just about anywhere in Asia. But considering it only covers Starwood's brands, and that Shanghai boasts hundreds of non-hotel world-class culinary and drinking options, we can't help wondering if this is more a clever marketing site than it is a useful tool for the hungry and thirsty.
