Ting: Stop for funky furniture

What do you do when you want to showcase your talented overseas and local artist friends' work? Open you own store of course. Why didn't we think of that?

Ting, the lifestyle boutique opened by Shanghai-born Susan Shen, is the perfect showroom for all the modern and antique furnishings, Chinese-style ceramics, art work and jewelry that Shen collects. With a host of Chinese and international designers-cum-friends showcasing work at the store, there is no shortage of Asian or Western styles to choose from.

In addition to re-upholstered antique art deco armchairs and funky standing lamps, there are some striking pieces of contemporary art work, including distinctive bottles decorated with British artist Chris Gill’s colourful people paintings.

Ting is funky, there is no other way to describe it.
